About this scheme

Provides fully-funded vocational training through nationally recognised qualifications (NVQs, VRQs) for apprentices across a range of trades. DESC funds the full cost of training and assessment for the duration of the apprenticeship. Employer incentive payments are also available, with the cap on payments lifted from September 2025 for employers with 10 or more employees.

Eligibility

Employers of any size can take on apprentices; apprentices must work full-time (35+ hours); no upper age limit applies.
