About this scheme

Core farm support payments providing flat-rate area-based payments per eligible acre, with enhanced front-loading for smaller and intensive farms. Young Farmers receive a supplementary payment of up to 25% (maximum £4,000) for up to five consecutive years. The 2026 registration period is currently open; application booklets are posted at end of April.

Eligibility

Must be an active farmer with land at their disposal on 4 May; minimum 12.5 eligible acres; valid application submitted in the required form and timescale.
